Finance Vista ("the app") is a personal finance application developed by Smiteq Cloud that runs entirely on your device. Finance Vista Pro is not a separate app — it's an optional in-app purchase, made from within Finance Vista, that removes ads and lifts free-tier limits. This policy explains what data is and is not collected and how your information is handled, whether or not Pro is active.
Information we collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal or financial information on our servers. All data you enter — transactions, accounts, categories, tags, budgets, and settings — is saved locally on your device and never leaves it without your explicit action.
Local data storage
All data is stored within the app's private storage on your device. It is not accessible to other apps and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Data deletion
You can delete all your data at any time via Settings → Data Management → Reset to Default, or by uninstalling the app — Finance Vista has no server, so no data is retained after that.
Backup & restore
The app offers optional backup features. These are entirely user-initiated — no automatic syncing occurs. Cloud backups (Google Drive, iCloud) are encrypted with a passphrase you set before upload — we never see or store that passphrase, so only you can decrypt your backup.
- Google Drive: When you choose to back up to Google Drive, the app uses Google Sign-In to authenticate and stores the encrypted backup file in a hidden, app-private folder in your Google Drive (visible only to this app, not in your regular Drive file list). This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- iCloud: When you choose to back up to iCloud, the encrypted backup file is stored in your personal iCloud account. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Local file: Backup files can also be saved to your device's local storage and managed entirely by you.
Crash & performance diagnostics
Finance Vista uses Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring, both provided by Google, to automatically collect anonymous crash reports and performance data — such as app crashes, non-fatal errors, and screen load times — which helps us find and fix bugs. This data is not linked to your identity: no name, email, account, or advertising identifier is ever attached to a crash or performance report. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
This is enabled by default but can be turned off at any time: Settings → Privacy & Security → Crash & diagnostic reporting. This feature is available on both the free and Pro tiers.
Advertising (free tier only)
Finance Vista (bundle ID com.smiteq.financevista) displays ads served by Google AdMob to free-tier users. AdMob may collect and use your device's Advertising ID (Android) or IDFA (iOS) to show personalised ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
On iOS, the app presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt on first launch. If you deny tracking, the app will continue to function normally and AdMob will serve non-personalised ads instead.
Purchasing Finance Vista Pro removes advertising within the same app — no ads are shown and AdMob does not access your Advertising ID or IDFA once Pro is active.
You can withdraw or change your ad tracking preference at any time:
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → disable for this app
Currency exchange rates
When you add a foreign currency or refresh an exchange rate, the app fetches the current rate from api.frankfurter.app, an open-source currency API. This is a read-only request — no personal data, financial data, or account identifiers are sent. As with any network request, the server may log your IP address as part of normal operations. This feature is available on both the free and Pro tiers.
In-app purchases
Finance Vista Pro is available as a monthly subscription, annual subscription, or one-time lifetime purchase. All transactions are processed entirely by Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS) — we do not receive or store your payment details. Purchase history is managed by the respective platform and governed by Google's Payments Privacy Notice or Apple's Privacy Policy.
Permissions
The app requests the following permissions:

Age Requirement
Finance Vista is intended for users aged 18 and over while using the free, ad-supported tier, since it contains advertising served by Google AdMob, which is not permitted in child-directed apps under COPPA or GDPR-K.
Purchasing Finance Vista Pro removes all advertising. Once Pro is active, users under 13 should obtain parental consent before use in accordance with applicable law.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
